Description
OSDP Controller EWE4 is an Ethernet access system controller which has ability to control 4 doors with one-sided access control or 2 doors with two-sided access control and any combination of type of doors is possible. Controller can continuously monitor inputs like exit button, evacuation button, main evacuation button, magnetic detector for state of door. Every controller additionally can monitor 4 inputs, e.q. AC voltage loss at power supply unit, DC voltage loss at output of power supply unit, battery failure, tamper detection.
Its advanced capabilities support advanced sluice logic in offline mode.
This controller supports
OSDP protocol - OPEN SUPERVISED DEVICE PROTOCOL
which allows the OSDP controller to communicate bidirectionally with OSDP readers from any manufacturer with the highest security standards in the form of AES-128 encryption over the RS-485 protocol. It supports encrypted OSDP v2.
The controller supports NODER MD-R, NODER MDK-R proximity readers connected via native RS-485 protocol and NODER MD-W readers connected via wiegand protocol, or 3-rd party readers supporting wiegand protocol or encrypted OSDP v2 protocol, as well as up to four control modules NODER IO16RS.
IP DEVICE
EWE4 controller is a IP device and doesn’t require additional gateways.
SUPER CARD rule
Allows immediately access, bypassing functioning rules, schedules, sluices or logics.
sluice logic
Interlocking doors to zones of particular importance.
The controller is a standalone IP based device that can be used as an IoT device for many purposes. Controller provides firmware remote upgrade.
Desgin simplicity
This controller can be installed as a standalone device in access control systems
EWE4 controller does not require additional gateways or main controllers to work in offline or online mode.

faq
Can I connect 3rd party readers to EWE4 controller?
Yes, you can. You can connect any 3rd party readers to EWE4 controller. You can use for it:
- Wiegand protocol
- OSDP v2 protocol
Can I use Wiegand and OSDP readers simultaneously connected to NODER EWE4 controller?
Yes, you can. You can connect up to 4 readers regardless of protocol.
So e.q. you can connect 2 Wiegand and 2 OSDPv2 readers simultaneously.
Can I use double factor auth?
Yes, you can. You can do this on several ways:
- Auth by card (or mobile credential) and PIN on one reader;
- Auth by card (or mobile credential) on first reader and PIN on another reader;
- Auth by card (or mobile credential) or PIN and by second user o the same reader;
- Auth by card (or mobile credential) or PIN and by system operator;
Authentication is possible by other type of reader like biometric, QR, barcode, face and licence plate.
Can I remotely turn off readers connected to EWE4 OSDP controller?
Yes, you can. You have the ability to remotely disconnect or remotely turn off power to the readers connected to the 12V output.
Can I use different types of readers connected to a single EWE4 controller?
Yes, you can. You can connect proximity, barcode, QR code and biometric readers simultaneously to a single NODER EWE4 controller. You can also connect different RFID readers such as Unique, MIFARE, MIFARE DESFire, etc.
Is the connection to the EWE4 controller secured?
Yes it is. You can design and enable a firewall that allows connection from allow IP addresses only. If this is not sufficient, you can secure the connection by enabling SSH tunnel connection.
